Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Colorado. I’ve been in the mental health field for nine years and worked in both the outpatient and intensive outpatient settings. I started my private practice in 2022, and I focus on helping women in all walks of life through relationship difficulties and life transitions. I also provide services to individuals affected by a loved one’s addiction, and assist in psychoeducation and support services for anyone struggling with this!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s been happening that led you to therapy, as well as your personal history. I always work with clients in the first session to identify goals and develop our treatment plan, so you always know what we’re working on and why we’re doing it. I always like to spend time getting to know each other personally as human beings, too!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I always tell my clients who are struggling with confidence, that I GET it. I’ve been there, too. I think lived experience is one of the most valuable things a good therapist brings to the table. I love to be personable, use humor, and connect with people on that deep personal (yet professional) level.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment therapy helps you accept any negative thinking you might have, instead of wrestle with it and challenging your thoughts. Some people find this more helpful than traditional cognitive methods. We’ll work together on accepting your thoughts!

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Our relationship is one of the strongest indicators of success in therapy. I like to spend a lot of time building that relationship and us both feeling comfortable!

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing involves talking a LOT about change. We’ll talk a lot about what we want to see change, how we’d go about it, and how it would impact you.
