Hi, I’m Laywell Tedoe, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I provide personalized medication management and incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) tools to support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on treating the whole person. My goal is to Help you move toward greater clarity, emotional balance, and lasting mental wellness
In our first session, we’ll take time to explore what’s bringing you in your symptoms, personal history, and any goals or concerns you have about treatment. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to get a full picture of your mental and physical health, and together we’ll discuss treatment options, including whether medication might be helpful. You can expect a judgment-free space where you’re heard, respected, and supported from day one.
What sets my approach apart is the balance of clinical expertise with compassion and collaboration. I don’t just prescribe medicationI take time to understand the whole person and integrate practical tools from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients feel empowered in their healing. Clients often share that they feel genuinely seen, supported, and equipped with both clarity and strategy to navigate life’s challengesnot just symptom relief, but meaningful progress
I’m best positioned to support clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life changes and are ready to take an active role in their healing. Many of the individuals I work with are high-functioning but feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burnt out. Whether you’re seeking clarity around your emotions, looking to better manage your mental health with medication, or hoping to break unhelpful patterns, I offer a supportive space to help you move forward with insight and intention.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I combine evidence-based medication management with foundational principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact and how medication can support the clarity and stability needed to make meaningful change. While I don’t provide full therapy sessions, I incorporate brief CBT tools like thought reframing, behavioral activation, and symptom tracking to enhance treatment outcomes and empower clients in their healing journey.
