My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT for uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by balancing acceptance and change, guiding clients to learn skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. I give handouts for reality acceptance skills, distress tolerance techniques, and handouts for skills when the crisis is addiction.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT by helping a client identify and challenge negative thought patterns, understanding how these thoughts lead to unhealthy behaviors, and teaching new coping skills and healthier thought processes. I use this to help manage symptoms of depression and anxiety related issues, as well as other issues.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I act as a compassionate guide, creating a safe space for the client to hear from their parts, understand their roles and fears, and help those parts release past burdens and find healthier roles. I generally use this with trauma.

Jungian

I use this to help clients understand the symbols in their dreams and imagination, examine their personal history, and work through concepts like the "shadow" (a disowned part of the personality) to gain deeper self-understanding and resolve issues like anxiety, depression, and identity struggles.

Psychoanalytic

I use this to help clients understand how unconscious desires and past experiences influence their current thoughts and behaviors.
