I will help support and guide you in the therapeutic process to foster your healing and growth. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addiction professional with over a decade of experience who is most comfortable and experienced with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transition problems, and substance use issues. I am sex-positive and enjoy working within/as an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community as well.
At our first session together, I will review your history of symptoms from a holistic perspective, gathering information from you regarding your social, psychological and physical history. Together, we will create a plan with goals to be addressed in therapy.
I use an approach called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy alongside a Person-Centered perspective. I am EMDR trained. I also pull from aspects of Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, all utilizing a trauma-oriented lens. I love working with clients from all backgrounds and clients new to therapy and experienced in therapy.
