As a psychologist who has been licensed for 25 years, I have been honored to work with a wide variety of people. I enjoy working with a diverse group of clients ranging in age from young adulthood to seniors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, creating a space of warmth and understanding helps us join to identify the most important areas to address. You end the first session knowing you have a caring, knowledgeable and skilled therapist who has your back.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

After 25 years as a licensed psychologist, I have encountered the full range of the human experience. Over the years, I have embraced the knowledge that, with the right kind of help, no matter what, positive change can and does occur.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Taking a developmental perspective gives me the opportunity to support each person right where he or she is in life. No matter what phase of life or personal challenge, underneath it all, we all want to live a life free of internal pain. We all want to move forward in a positive way that draws on each individual's unique, personal strengths.

My treatment methods

Supportive

Everyone needs to feel heard and accepted. My first priority is to make sure you are supported and feel comfortable with the process of working together in a collaborative, positive way.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe that the problems a person presents with deserve to be addressed directly. I provide a warm, solution-focused approach for identifying areas of strength and areas that need changing. We will work together to create concrete strategies for reaching goals. Whether it is help for emotional distress or assistance with difficult life situations, I work with each client to bring out the best in the individual. This paves the way for positive change and developmental growth.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Each person has values, beliefs and a unique perspective of self and life. Uncovering and defining one's essential values create the foundation for lasting, positive change. Having a foundation based on your own values and priorities makes goal setting easier, which allows for ease in making life choices consistent with who you really are.
