I help my clients move past the 'stuck' feelings of anxiety, depression, and other difficult emotions through evidence-based CBT techniques. My background—including 10+ years in social work—means I have a varied experience with working with many different types of people and know how to get to the heart of an issue quickly. My sessions are a balance of active listening and real-talk feedback, ensuring you leave with the tangible coping skills you need to manage life’s challenges with confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first sessions I am looking forward to starting to get to know you and understand what you are hoping to get our of therapy. I will give you the space to decide how much you want to share, as I understand the beginning of a therapy relationship can feel difficult. I will allow you to take the lead on how much or how little you want to share and how much you want me to be the one to ask all of the questions. I hope you will quickly feel comfortable with me!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have spent a decade in a fast paced high school setting as a school social worker. I understand that clients want results and are here for a reason, they want to see a change! What stands out about my approach is a blend of high-level empathy and high-level practicality. After over 10 years in social work, I don’t believe in 'fluff.' I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you see immediate connections between your thoughts and your stress levels. I am known for being a 'real talk' therapist and also being easy to talk to. While I am a deep, attentive listener, I am not a passive observer. I provide honest, direct feedback that helps my clients identify the blind spots in their own thinking. By combining this transparency with evidence-based CBT methods, I help clients achieve results that feel sustainable. My goal isn't just to help you feel better during our hour together—it’s to coach you into becoming your own best therapist in your daily life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are tired of feeling 'stuck' in cycles of anxiety, depression, low mood or managing other difficult emotions and are ready for a practical, skills-based approach. My ideal client is someone who values transparency and wants more than just a place to vent—they want a therapist who provides honest feedback and concrete tools. Whether you are navigating a major life transition or managing daily difficult emotions and stressors, I help clients who are motivated to understand the 'why' behind their feelings while actively working on the 'how' of feeling better.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because I believe that understanding the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is the key to lasting change. In my practice, I view CBT as a collaborative 'toolkit.' We work together to identify those automatic negative thought patterns—like 'all-or-nothing' thinking—that keep you stuck. By gently challenging these thoughts and experimenting with new behaviors, I help my clients move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling back in the driver’s seat of their own lives.
