LCSW, 7 years of experience
As a licensed therapist in Wisconsin, I support people navigating complex emotional landscapes. You deserve a space where you can make sense of your emotions, and honor your story as you connect back to yourself. I work with individuals experiencing patterns of anxiety, attachment wounds, grief and loss, challenges with self esteem and executive functioning overwhelm. My primary therapeutic foundation draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while I also encourage CBT when helpful. I am trauma informed, and use parts-based language and somatic methods to support deeper healing (Not IFS certified).
During our first session, we will get to know each other a little bit more. I will ask a lot of questions in order to better understand your history and current struggles. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions of myself during this time.
Therapy with me is an active process. In working with me, you will find a warm, insight-oriented space where your story is honored and your values guide the way. Some weeks we will reflect deeply, while others we will act boldly. In both cases, you are always in the lead. I offer 100% tele-health sessions through out the week and offer a free 15 phone consultation to see if we are a great fit.
I work with adults 18 years and older who are navigating past traumatic experiences, grief and loss, life transitions, identity and self esteem shifts, anxious and/or avoidant attachment patterns, as well as a growing interest in ADHD, neurodivergence and helping folks with executive functioning overwhelm.
I enjoy incorporating this form of therapy as it centers around the clients' values and detachment from harmful thinking patterns. Each client has their own strengths and challenges that they bring to the space and ACT can be a way for us to explore values and what matters to the client.
I used IFS parts work language, brainspotting, and somatic and narrative approaches to explore past traumatic experiences. (Not IFS certified)
I am trained in this specialty and would be happy to discuss more with clients who are interested in this intervention.
CBT has helped clients to challenge anxiety and depression on a practical level. I use CBT in my practice often to help clients identify harmful thoughts and challenge themselves to reframe their perspective.
At my core, I practice a person centered approach. My goal is to tailor my treatment approach to your needs.
