New to Grow
I personally believe in the power of therapy because I have seen such a huge impact in my own life. Therapy and other treatments don't have to be a years long process, a constant, or even more than one session. Life transitions and mental health concerns take us a lot of new places, and I have found it very helpful to have the support of a therapist. I am an anxious ADHD-er myself, but my career has given me so many tools to help myself and others.
In our first session, I want to create a relaxed and trusting environment. I know this may take many sessions, so starting out I want to hear about what is currently bringing you to therapy, even if you aren't comfortable getting into the nitty gritty of it yet, this will help us at least have a shared understanding of where we are headed and help me build a treatment plan for us to follow and edit as we go.
I love holding space for people. No emotion is too big or too small. We will work through it all with time if that's a goal of yours.
I help folks with mental health concerns, life transitions, and relationship issues through telehealth therapy. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, neurodivergence, and psychosis. There is no shame in seeking therapy and support, in fact I'd argue supporting each other is part of what makes us human. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or in need of support in this season of life, feeling seen and heard can make all the difference. I follow a person centered approach, which means you are in charge. Your goals and autonomy are always at the forefront of therapy. My approach to therapy is relaxed and collaborative, while also helping you gently challenge patterns that no longer serve you. I integrate trauma-informed, evidence-based practices to support meaningful, lasting change.
I have been utilizing CBT since 2022 and am very comfortable with it's practices, routines, and tenants. CBT is at the heart of much of modern talk therapy and is an excellent place to start whether you are new to therapy or a seasoned pro. There are always places we can reflect and learn more about conclusions we're jumping to, catastrophizing, thought insertion, etc.
I have a certification through Star Behavioral Health to treat clients with trauma related diagnoses through CPT. CPT has many similarities to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is very approachable for majority of clients.
I have worked with Attachment Theory both personally and professionally for many years. Attachment Theory is essential to learning how we relate to others, and believe it or not, ourselves. I have utilized Attachment Theory since I started in mental health in 2022, and find it to be incredibly helpful for identifying ways that we feel failed by others and ourselves and where we can start building better communication and support.
Therapy that brings together the science, your emotions, bodily sensations, and building safe supports really does help me take a holistic approach to helping clients with trauma, relational issues, anxiety, depression, and more.
