Hello! I’m Ally (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. It can be difficult to navigate all the changes and pressures that come with adulthood, especially for recent grads, college students, and young professionals. You might feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck during a life transition, or just not like yourself. These challenges can make it hard to feel confident or connected in your daily life. Whether you're managing stress, developing coping skills, or exploring who you are, therapy can be a supportive space to gain clarity and feel more grounded. I’m here to walk alongside you as you work through what’s holding you back. I use a collaborative, warm, and direct approach, respecting that you’re the expert on your own life. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic awareness, Strengths based therapy. With the right support I believe you can grow more in tune with your emotions and find the right coping skills that genuinely work for you. You deserve a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to be yourself.
In our first session together, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other, and I’ll ask you about your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals. We’ll also talk about your background and current struggles. Ultimately, the first session is about laying the groundwork for our work together, building trust, and creating a shared vision for your journey. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, with a sense of clarity about the process and the next steps we’ll take.
One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where folks feel truly heard and understood. I truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and in honoring each person as the expert of their own experiences. Finally, I am direct yet compassionate in how I communicate. While I am always supportive, I’m also not afraid to gently challenge folks to push beyond their comfort zones when it’s time to make lasting change. I believe in empowering folks to tap into their own strengths, which is why I aim to help you leave therapy with practical skills and new perspectives.
I enjoy working with folks that are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or just not quite themselves lately and are are open to exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a collaborative, non judgmental space.
I take an eclectic approach to providing therapy, which means I draw from different therapeutic styles. I combine techniques based on what will be most helpful for your unique goals, challenges, and situation. Some of the main approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, solution focused work.
