Hello! I’m Ally (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe in using a holistic, person-centered approach that honors you as the expert of your own experiences. Whether you are facing a big life change, struggling with anxiety, or looking to strengthen your coping skills, I’m here to support you. Using a blend of mindfulness, strengths-based strategies, and solution-focused techniques, we’ll work together to find what resonates best for you and your unique situation. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and respectful of your journey. I’ll listen, ask questions, and provide guidance, but ultimately, it’s your voice that leads the way. You deserve a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to be yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other, and I’ll ask you about your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any challenges you may be facing. We’ll talk about your background, current struggles, and any strengths you’ve already developed that we can build on. Ultimately, the first session is about laying the groundwork for our work together, building trust, and creating a shared vision for your journey. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, with a sense of clarity about the process and the next steps we’ll take.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where folks feel truly heard and understood. I truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and in honoring each person as the expert of their own experiences. Finally, I am direct yet compassionate in how I communicate. While I am always supportive, I’m also not afraid to gently challenge folks to push beyond their comfort zones when it’s time to make lasting change. I believe in empowering folks to tap into their own strengths, which is why I aim to help you leave therapy with practical skills and new perspectives you can use in your day-to-day life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with folks who are open to exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a collaborative space.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

This method focuses on identifying and leveraging the inherent strengths, resources, and resilience that each individual brings to therapy. Rather than focusing solely on problems or deficits, I work with folks to uncover their personal strengths, past successes, and untapped potential — and we build from there. In my practice, I use a strengths-based approach to help folks shift their focus from what’s not working in their lives to what is working, even if those strengths might feel hidden or underused. This might look like exploring past challenges you've overcome, recognizing skills you already possess, or uncovering values that can guide your decisions moving forward. By highlighting your existing strengths, we can build a foundation of confidence and self-efficacy, which is essential for tackling current struggles.
