About me

Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Pennsylvania, with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Edinboro University (2017). Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals through life’s challenges—first in social services and, for the past three years, in private practice. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and solution-focused. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or just feeling stuck, I'm here to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward the life you want. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and I'm honored to walk alongside my clients as they work toward healing and personal growth. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be grateful to be part of your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first therapy session is all about getting to know you in a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space. We’ll spend time talking about what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and what goals you’d like to work toward. I may ask some background questions to better understand your experiences, but you’re always in control of what you choose to share. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work, so you can decide if it’s a good fit. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin this journey together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I bring a balance of compassion and gentle challenge to help clients gain fresh perspectives and move toward meaningful change. I'm known for being open-minded, approachable, and easy to talk to, which helps create a comfortable and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I strive to meet each client where they are, offering support while also encouraging growth and self-reflection.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Over the years, I’ve developed extensive experience supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. My background includes work in community mental health, advocacy for individuals with physical limitations, and support for those impacted by intimate partner violence. I have worked with clients navigating ADHD, trauma, gender dysphoria, depression, anxiety, grief, complex PTSD, and autism spectrum disorder. I welcome clients across the lifespan—from children and teens to adults and older adults—and I tailor my approach to meet each person's unique needs and goals. Whether you're seeking support for a specific issue or working toward overall emotional wellness, I strive to create a safe, affirming, and empowering space for your healing journey.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and use it as a powerful tool to help clients process and move through past traumas that may be causing stuck points or emotional distress in their current lives. While traditional EMDR often involves eye movements, I also utilize alternative bilateral stimulation methods—such as tapping or auditory cues—which can enhance focus and comfort during sessions. I tailor the approach to each individual’s needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for trauma processing and healing. EMDR can be especially effective for clients dealing with complex trauma, anxiety, or intrusive memories, and I’ve seen firsthand how it can lead to meaningful breakthroughs and lasting relief.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I regularly incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice to help clients develop practical skills for managing intense emotions and improving emotional regulation. DBT is especially effective for individuals who struggle with mood swings, impulsive behaviors, or difficulty coping with distress. I focus on core DBT skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, and tailor these tools to meet each client’s unique needs. In sessions, we work together to apply these skills in real-life situations, helping clients gain greater control over their emotions and reactions while building healthier coping strategies.

Strength-Based

I incorporate a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build upon the inner resources, skills, and resilience they already possess. Rather than focusing solely on problems or deficits, this method emphasizes what is working—highlighting personal strengths, past successes, and existing support systems. In our work together, I help clients tap into these strengths to navigate challenges, make empowered decisions, and build greater confidence in their ability to handle future obstacles. This approach fosters a sense of hope and self-efficacy, while still providing the guidance and support needed for meaningful growth and change.
