LCSW, 9 years of experience
It is my goal as a therapist to provide my clients with the utmost support during their most trying times. I have worked with children and adults as well as families in crisis. Asking for help should not be seen as a weakness but as a strength, and being strong enough to identify that you need emotional support to better your quality of life is something to be proud of. I thoroughly enjoy building relationships with my clients while supporting them on their journey to become their best selves. I started my career in this field after serving as a volunteer within the community providing emotional support to individuals who were nearing the end of life. These individuals experienced a range of emotions and I found the work to be extremely profound and rewarding; therefore, pursued a Masters Level Education in Mental Health. I have experience working with various populations and severity of illness and have over 9 years of experience in direct practice. I am also certified in perinatal mood disorders. I have experience in a hospital setting ranging from the emergency department to NICU, ICU, oncology, postpartum, as well as outpatient mental health crisis clinic. I found my niche in a therapeutic setting of direct practice, helping individuals grow and overcome emotional obstacles that are causing disruption in your life.
The first session is about getting to know eachother. I would like to hear what brought you to therapy, what you hope to get from therapy, and to answer any key questions you might have about how I work. Everything we discuss is confidential within the limits of the law, and this is a space where you can speak freely and at your own pace. My role is to support you and collaborate with you as we work toward the goals that matter most to you. We wont fix or figure out everything in our first session, we will take it one session at a time together.
I understand the struggle of opening up and being vulnerable with a complete stranger, I do. Starting therapy can be a difficult transition in itself, but my goal is to help you identify your strengths rather than weakness and to provide you with the treatment necessary to live as the best version of yourself.

I have been trained in CBT and have used it with many individuals facing anxiety, depression and everyday stressors. In sessions I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge those thoughts and practice new behaviors. I often introduce structured tools like thought records, behavioral implementations or exposure exercises and then we review them together.
I integrate ACT principles into my work with individuals facing multiple issues, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and life transitions. ACT focuses on helping clients accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of struggling to eliminate them, while committing to actions that align with their core values.
In my practice I regularly integrate strengths-based approach, which means we focus on the clients’ existing abilities, resources and successes as the foundation for growth. I help clients identify skills, personal values and past achievements they can draw on when facing challenges in everyday life. I have used this framework with individuals, couples and families dealing with anxiety, life transitions and self-esteem concerns. Sessions often involve exploring moments when clients felt most capable or resilient, highlighting the qualities that made those times possible, and then applying those strengths to current goals. This approach tends to foster hope, motivation and self-confidence.
