New to Grow
Hi, I’m Neesha, a licensed therapist offering short-term online counseling (2–12 sessions) to adults in Tennessee. Navigating life's challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. With a master's in Community Counseling and over a decade of experience, I specialize in helping individuals process and heal from the stress of life transitions, peer relationships, grief and women's issues.
In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and start creating a plan together.
My approach is eclectic, drawing from brain-based methods like the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), interpersonal therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). This means we focus first on building regulation, then fostering meaningful connection, and finally strengthening reasoning and problem-solving skills—all within a supportive, collaborative space. My goal is twofold: to help you improve your overall quality of life and to reduce or effectively manage the symptoms that may be interfering with it.
I enjoy supporting clients through life transitions, grief, and women’s issues (i.e., balancing multiple roles and societal/cultural pressures on appearance and success).
My approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing from several evidence-based practices to best meet each client’s unique needs. I often use the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) as a guiding framework, which recognizes how trauma can affect the brain and emphasizes healing from the “bottom up.” This means we first focus on building regulation skills, then strengthening connection with self and others, and finally enhancing reasoning and problem-solving abilities. I also integrate an interpersonal approach, using the therapeutic relationship as a safe and supportive space to foster healing and help clients develop healthier, more effective relationships in their daily lives. Additionally, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
