New to Grow
I love my job. I have been in the mental health field for over 15 years. I've worked in inpatient and outpatient settings in addition to private practice. I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias and relationship issues. I work collaboratively with clients utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE).
In a first session I want to hear from you why you sought therapy and what you are seeking support with. We will talk about the present and what has been causing distress as well as background information about you; your support system and what has shaped you into the person you are now. We will also identify what you want to get out of therapy as a way to start identifying goals.
I am open-minded, curious, and compassionate. My focus is helping clients feel more empowered in their lives and more connected to their values.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and you are the expert in your life and what has been working not working. I can help in bringing new perspectives, tools, and insights to help you navigate life in a way that is more meaningful for you.
In my practice I believe we can make meaningful change by focusing on strengths while being curious about beliefs, thought patterns and behaviors that are no longer serving you. Therapy is a collaborative partnership. We will identify patterns that are holding you back and learn new skills to help you move towards a more meaningful live.
