“Hello, I’m Vanesa, a licensed mental health clinician passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and practical tools. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a client-centered focus, so you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we’ll build coping skills, challenge unhelpful patterns, and create space for growth and healing.
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you’d like to work on. I’ll ask questions to better understand your story, but there’s no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. Together, we’ll start setting goals for our work and discuss what therapy might look like moving forward. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood.
My greatest strengths lie in my ability to build trust quickly, adapt to each family’s unique needs, and approach therapy with empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity. I excel at helping clients feel understood while teaching practical skills to manage stress, improve communication, and strengthen relationships. What sets me apart is my experience working with complex, real-world situations—helping families juggle multiple challenges while fostering growth and resilience in both parents and children
My ideal clients are those who find themselves juggling multiple challenges at once—maybe dealing with stress and anxiety while also navigating relationship difficulties, career pressures, or low self-esteem. They may feel overwhelmed by how much is on their plate and unsure of where to start. These clients are open to exploring their thoughts and emotions, willing to try new coping strategies, and motivated to create meaningful change in their lives. I enjoy working with individuals who want support in untangling life’s complexities and are ready to build resilience, balance, and a stronger sense of self.

Vanessa has been extremely helpful in offering insights into my reactions to stress and anxiety and how to help turn those reactions into useful and focused interactions with others. We have also worked on ways to change my point of view and deal with outside influences in positive and constructive ways.
