New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps people move through life transitions, stress, and relational challenges with more clarity and balance. My style is relationship-centered, I want therapy to feel like a consistent, supportive connection that models what healthy support looks like. I also integrate journaling as a foundational tool to help clients reflect, process emotions, and create meaningful change.
In our first session, we’ll slow down and focus on what brings you to therapy, the changes you’d like to see, and the areas of life that feel unfulfilling right now. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to get to know your story, your strengths, and the patterns that may be holding you back. You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where honesty and openness are welcomed. We’ll also talk about how journaling can become a consistent tool for reflection between sessions, helping you notice insights and track growth over time. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling supported, understood, and more grounded in the path ahead.
My greatest strengths lie in creating a supportive, nonjudgmental connection where clients feel safe to be open and explore new perspectives. I combine evidence-based approaches with reflective journaling to help clients slow down, notice patterns, and assess changes that bring greater fulfillment and balance. My style is relationship-centered. I want therapy to model what a healthy, consistent connection looks like while also offering practical strategies for daily life. Clients often share that I help them see themselves with more clarity and compassion, while encouraging growth that feels both sustainable and deeply meaningful.
My clients are often caring, high-capacity people who find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, or carrying more than their share of responsibility. They may be navigating family dynamics, burnout, or a major life transition, and want a safe space to reflect and find their voice. My ideal client is open-minded, willing to share honestly, and open to new perspectives. They are also willing to journal consistently as part of the process, knowing that reflection between sessions is a powerful way to deepen insight and create meaningful change. I work best with clients who are ready to slow down, assess the changes they can make, and create a more fulfilling, balanced life
My therapy style is integrative and growth-oriented, rooted in CBT, DBT, and insight-based work. Journaling is a foundational part of my sessions. I encourage clients to use writing as a tool for reflection, emotional regulation, and personal growth. Whether in session or at home, writing helps deepen self-awareness and turn insight into meaningful change.
I also draw from Narrative Therapy, which emphasizes how the stories we tell ourselves shape our identity and choices. Together, we look at how past experiences and current struggles are being narrated, and how rewriting these stories can create room for resilience, confidence, and new possibilities. Journaling is one way we bring these stories to life, helping clients shift from self-criticism to self-compassion.
I also incorporate mindfulness-based approaches to help clients reconnect with the present moment and regulate overwhelming emotions. This might look like combining short mindfulness practices with reflective journaling, so clients strengthen both awareness and emotional balance. The goal is not just to cope with stress, but to build inner calm and a deeper sense of self-trust.
I also practice from a relational perspective, meaning I value the therapeutic relationship as a central part of healing. I believe lasting change happens when clients feel truly seen, understood, and supported over time. I enjoy building long-term connections where clients can grow at their own pace, revisiting themes and expanding insight as life unfolds.
