(he/him)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California, dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care. Life can present challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or emotionally distressed. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can safely explore and process these stressors. I enjoy meeting and working with diverse individuals and have gained experience working with young adults.
In our first session, we’ll start by getting to know each other and reviewing some important information about confidentiality, policies, and what therapy with me looks like. We’ll then begin exploring what brought you to therapy and what goals you’d like to work toward. This initial meeting is also a chance for us to see if we're a good fit, and I encourage you to ask questions or share any concerns. My aim is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin this process together.
What sets my approach apart is my ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients—something I believe is essential for meaningful therapeutic work. I specialize in working with men, including those navigating identity, emotional expression, and life transitions, as well as individuals involved in the criminal justice system and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I bring a culturally responsive lens to my work and offer bilingual therapy in Spanish, ensuring accessibility and comfort for Spanish-speaking clients. My goal is to meet each client where they are, with authenticity, respect, and a collaborative spirit.
I specialize in working with adult clients who are navigating life transitions, managing symptoms of depression and anxiety, or seeking support around identity and personal growth. I am particularly attuned to the unique experiences of men and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and I strive to create a space that is affirming, respectful, and empowering. Whether you're facing challenges in relationships, questioning your path, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward the life you want to live. Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to meet your individual needs and goals.
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) across settings such as correctional facilities, community mental health, and university counseling centers. I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop practical skills like cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and problem-solving. I adapt my approach to meet each client’s cultural and developmental needs. My practice blends structured CBT tools with flexibility and cultural responsiveness to promote meaningful change.
I use Person-Centered Therapy to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. By grounding my work in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity, I help foster a strong therapeutic alliance that supports self-exploration and personal growth. While I may incorporate structured interventions from other modalities, Person-Centered principles remain central to how I build trust and promote client-driven change.
