About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate addiction, anxiety, depression, relationships, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, practical, and client-centered. I believe in meeting people where they are, building on their strengths, and providing the support and tools needed to create meaningful, lasting change. All the while, giving dignity and respect to the individual.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My clients can expect respect and caring of the individual from the very first appointment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I specialize in working with individuals involved in recovery, criminal justice reentry, and personal growth. My approach is compassionate, practical, and client-centered, drawing from evidence-based therapies to help clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change. I bring a combination of experience, compassion, and practical clinical knowledge to each session. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to meet people where they are without judgment. I understand that change takes time, and I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, understand the challenges they are facing, and develop realistic steps toward their goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. I especially enjoy working with individuals struggling with substance use, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I also work well with those rebuilding their lives after incarceration or other difficult circumstances and who are motivated to develop healthier coping skills and a stronger future.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify negative or unhelpful thinking patterns and develop healthier, more realistic ways of responding. I also use practical strategies and skill-building exercises to help clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, cravings, and life challenges while creating lasting behavioral change.

Christian Counseling

I incorporate Christian counseling for clients who desire to include their faith in the therapeutic process. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their relationship with God, personal values, forgiveness, hope, purpose, and healing. When appropriate and desired by the client, biblical principles and prayer can be integrated with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support emotional, relational, and spiritual growth.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their own reasons for change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I help them identify their strengths, values, goals, and personal motivation for change. This approach is especially helpful with substance use, recovery, and clients who may feel uncertain or ambivalent about making changes.
