As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Navy veteran, and mother of three, I bring a diverse life perspective to my therapeutic practice. With over 20 years of experience as a military spouse and professional roles in medical administration and youth programs, I offer a grounded, empathetic approach to healing. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, and depression using evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). Whether you are a young person finding your way or an adult navigating life’s complexities, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to address the past and reclaim your present. I am a firm believer in the power of positive affirmation and the essential practice of self-care

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session together is a 2 hour session where we get to look at your whole story. This is a safe space where you get to share your history, strengths, areas of weakness, supports, and concerns. This is also when you can communicate what you feel is keeping you stuck. During this session, we will discuss treatment plans that honors goals for your future.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach combines discipline , empathy, and understanding. I provide a safe nonjudgmental space with evidence based practices. I specialize in helping those who carry heavy loads—veterans, young adults, and special needs parents.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My practice is designed for individuals who feel 'stuck' in patterns of anxiety, trauma, burnout, or just wanting to work on themself. I am uniquely equipped to support mothers of children with special needs who often put their own mental health last, as well as veterans seeking a therapist who understands the adversities of military life. Whether you are a young adult struggling with life’s 'what’s next' or a caregiver feeling exhausted, my goal is to help you feel like you are living again and not just surviving. We will work together to replace stress and uncertainty with actionable tool, positive affirmations, and coping skills.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT or talk therapy helps you to identify unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, and how they link to your behaviors. CBT therapy often helps with things like anxiety, depression, life adjustments, and more.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is a tool for moving forward when you feel 'stuck' in the after a traumatic event. Instead of reliving every detail of the past, we focus on the present—specifically how the trauma changed your beliefs about safety, trust, power, and self-esteem. Together, we identify the 'stuck points' that lead to self-blame and work to shift them toward a more balanced, compassionate, and helpful perspective.

Trauma-Focused CBT

TF-CBT is a specialized, evidence-based approach designed to help children and teens (ages 7–18) heal from the impact of trauma. This collaborative process empowers both the child and their caregiver with practical tools for emotional regulation and healthy coping. By focusing on stabilization and gentle processing, we work together to restore a sense of safety and build lasting resilience for the whole family."
