New to Grow
I’m Jemila McPhee, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and self-critical thinking patterns. Together, we’ll explore what’s underneath the overwhelm, calm the mental chatter, and build tools that feel authentic and doable. Every session is tailored to meet your unique needs, so together we can move you toward clarity, confidence, and peace.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During your first session, we'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what your hoping to work on, and any questions or concerns that you have.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets my approach apart is the way I blend grounded clinical strategies with compassion, clarity, and attunement.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My work focuses on anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, and the self-critical thoughts that make everyday life feel heavier than it needs to be. I help individuals who tend to “hold everything together” on the outside while struggling internally with overthinking, people-pleasing, burnout, or the pressure to be strong for everyone else.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a practical approach to therapy. I help clients learn to notice their thoughts, understand their emotions, and see how those thoughts and feelings influence their actions. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. We work together to build awareness, practice new coping skills, and develop strategies that clients can use in their everyday lives.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help my clients manage strong emotions, handle stress, and improve relationships. DBT focuses on learning mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills.
