Hi! I am a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner living in the Boston area. My graduate degree is from Massachusetts General Hospital's Institute of Health Professions and I've worked in my Rhode Island practice and at a psychiatric hospital's emergency room. It is my hope to assist people in figuring out what is going on in their lives and how this is creating difficulties. Then, we will figure out a way together to move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, we will get to know one another, and I will be asking lots of questions. The questions will look at what is going on, and also to get a sense of your health history as well as the things you do every day. I will then develop a plan that will focus on how your life can change to become what you would like it to be.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I take time to listen to exactly what is happening in your life. We will begin with psychotherapy and if necessary, I will craft a medication regimen that provides the least and safest amount of medication to provide a little assistance as you are navigating this time in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with children and adolescents, and young adults who are making their way in the world. Often, the stressors of our world can seem overwhelming. My task is to help people navigate their own lives with the goal of finding peace.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

This is a beginning treatment method to determine how to proceed. After getting a sense of why you have come, we may transition into different treatment methods.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This method helps to address thoughts in your head that may be creating difficulties and how to work with them.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

Many people suffer from insomnia, and along with the use of medication if indicated, this therapy helps to create an environment where people can fall asleep more easily.

Christian Counseling

This method is for those who feel their spiritual lives, primarily Christian but can be applied to other religions, is important to their mental health.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This treatment method helps when people get stuck in either/or types of thinking, and need help to see the middle ground in situations.
