LCSW, 16 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, and welcome. I'm Jane Griffin, a licensed clinical social worker, with a background in clinical social work and over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges. My professional journey has taken me through diverse settings — from working with military service members and their families, to supporting patients in hospital environments facing acute and chronic illness, to empowering women navigating life transitions, trauma, and identity. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the resilience of the human spirit and the unique complexities we all carry.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and collaboration. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and discuss any questions or concerns you may have about the process. I’ll ask some background questions to better understand your history, current challenges, and the context of your life — but there’s no pressure to share anything you're not ready to. This session is at your pace, and it’s okay if you’re not sure where to start — that’s part of the work we’ll do together. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer idea of how we might move forward and what therapy can look like for you. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and respected every step of the way.
I bring warmth, respect, and a deep commitment to each individual I work with. With a background in social work across military and hospital settings, I’ve walked alongside people in some of the most vulnerable and challenging moments of their lives. I understand the impact of trauma, chronic illness, life transitions, and systemic stress — and I also know that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone. I specialize in creating a space that honors your full humanity. I bring a grounded, steady presence and a collaborative style that helps clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. I meet you where you are — with no judgment and a genuine belief in your capacity to grow.
I offer a compassionate, grounded, and collaborative space where you can safely explore your story, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward healing and growth. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, grief, chronic health concerns, or simply feeling stuck, my approach is tailored to meet you where you are. I integrate evidence-based practices with a warm, relational style, always honoring your pace and your voice in the therapeutic process. It takes courage to begin this work. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
