(she/her)
I’m a veteran and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 10 years of experience working with service members, veterans and their families. I earned my master's degree from Fayetteville State University and specialize in helping individuals navigate personal and professional stress, life transitions, and trauma-related concerns. My approach is collaborative, evidenced-based, and tailored to your unique needs, with the goal of helping you build resilience, clarity and meaningful change.
In our first session, we'll review your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. We'll discuss expectations, answer any questions you may have, and begin identifying practical next steps. My goal is to ensure you leave with clarity about the process and a sense of direction.
My approach centers on meeting clients where they are while helping them move forward with clarity and purpose. I focus on understanding each client's unique story, identifying practical goals, and building skills that create measurable, sustainable change.
I am best positioned to serve active-duty military members, veterans and their families navigating the unique challenges of military life. I also work well with first responders, high achieving professionals, and individuals who value a direct, solution focused approach to therapy. My ideal clients are ready to do the work in a space that feels safe and provides honesty. They may be dealing with anxiety, PTSD, life transitions, or identity shifts.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify negative thought patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, modify behaviors, learn coping skills, improve emotional regulation and build long term resilience.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to assist clients with managing intense emotions and improving relationships by teaching emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients process trauma, reduce distress, change negative beliefs, and build coping skills. This modality helps reduce trauma symptoms and promotes healing and emotional well-being.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I use CPT to help clients with PTSD. CPT helps clients identify maladaptive thoughts, challenge negative beliefs, reframe trauma related thoughts, process emotions, improve functioning and reduce symptoms.
