New clients continue care with this provider

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 30 years of experience in a variety of inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health settings as well as private practice. When setting goals for treatment, my aim is to be as solution focused as possible, to help you feel better quickly! Therapy can be life changing. I think I convey my passion for this work through my level of engagement in sessions with my clients. I am very motivated to help my clients achieve lasting changes in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will get to know each other and you will decide if I might be a good fit for you. I will work to get an understanding of who you are and what is bringing you to me so that we can develop of a plan of action for future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have experience in many settings over the past thirty years, and have taught social work graduate students over the last nine years. I am very passionate about this work and the importance of using therapy as a self help tool. I firmly believe everyone can benefit from talking to a therapist at some point in their lives.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My areas of specialty include providing support to those who endorse feelings of anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational conflict, stress, women's issues, and self-esteem issues.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Sometimes, our thoughts can be unhelpful, especially if we have internalized them. CBT identify helps people identify harmful thoughts, and determine whether they are accurate and, if they are not, learn strategies to challenge and overcome them.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT can help people learn to recognize, accept, and manage intense emotions that are problematic. With DBT you will learn new skills to cope with day-to-day life, and find new behaviors to replace harmful ones. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic work helps unpack past traumas and how they can affect our current emotions. You will learn how to identify your emotional patterns and the origins of these patterns which we are often not aware of.
