I'm a proud member of the LGTBQIA+ community and devoted dog mom. I've spent my career facilitating therapeutic groups and individual therapy sessions with diverse populations. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach to meet clients where they’re at and help them achieve their objectives using evidence-based practices, empathetic listening, and providing a space for people to feel understood and safe to explore their potential for growth. In my spare time, I spend plenty of time on long walks and cuddling on the couch with Winnie the dog and my wife. I also go to great lengths for my daily chai (ask me about my recipe).

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, we will go through the intake process, which includes required paperwork and a biopsychosocial assessment. If you've never done this before, the biopsychosocial assessment includes reviewing your entire biological, psychological, and social history so I can get a better picture of where you're coming from. We will discuss your goals for therapy and ensure alignment between your goals and my therapeutic approach. Using this information, I'll come up with a treatment plan to guide future sessions. At any time, we can revisit your goals to ensure you're getting the most out of our sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach to meet clients where they’re at and help them achieve their objectives using evidence-based practices, empathetic listening, and providing a space for people to feel understood and safe to explore their potential for growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I particularly enjoy working with clients who are motivated and looking for a change. I focus on helping them navigate living life within their values. I've helped people transitioning into adulthood from college, changing careers, and getting "unstuck" in their lives. I love when I get the opportunity to connect the dots with clients to solve a problem and hearing about my clients confidently making choices aligned with their values outside of session.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I work with clients (sometimes utilizing thought records) to reframe thoughts to examine the evidence of a situation and shift their perspective on an issue. Using CBT, we will connect the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of a situation to help the client understand how they feel about a situation, experience, or trigger.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT techniques to focus on mindfulness, staying in the present moment, help to understand and regulate emotions, navigate periods of intense emotions, and help clients communicate to themselves and others what they really want.
