My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

A faith-based approach has proven very effective for many of my clients. It is a privilege to hear what God is doing in your life. Seeing God move in your life, can give you a better understanding of yourself. Together we can come up with Christ centered coping skills to help you navigate through life. This approach is used when clients desire it.

Psychoeducation

I utilized psychoeducation in most all client encounters. A person who has a better understanding of their symptoms and medications, tends to demonstrate positive outcomes more consistently.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Many CBT processes are used within most all my client encounters. This is an evidenced-based approach that has benefits for clients with many different diagnoses.

Polyvagal Therapy

I utilize the polyvagal theory for many of my clients who struggle with anxiety or PTSD. This approach has offered clients some symptom relief and empowered them to begin to manage their symptoms on their own.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing has demonstrated strong effectiveness for many of my clients, especially those who struggle with various types of addiction.
