LCSW, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
My name is pronounced 'On-Gel', LCSW. I enjoy partnering with my clients to create a team approach to tackling their concerns. I create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that is both accepting and accountable. I am honest yet encouraging, striving to bring joy into the lives of the clients I work with. I collaborate with my clients to address their concerns, seeing them as active participants in their own solutions. I enjoy using methods from CBT, DBT, A.R.T, EMDR, and creative therapies in my practice. When not working, I am typically spending time with my family and our dogs. I love reading and going to the beach. I enjoy travelling and visiting our nation's National Parks.
Lots of questions! I want to get to know you and make sure I fully understand all the ins and outs of what's going on. Feel free to tell me what you like, dislike, what works and what doesn't work for you!
As a social worker, I believe meeting people where they are is central to their healing journey. You show up as you are and I help you get to where you want to be. I believe in the power of connection so I strive to build a therapeutic alliance that is authentic and empowers you to heal and grow.
I enjoy working with adolescent females and young adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and relationship concerns. Since I was young I always wanted to help people in a way that I never was. As I grew, I realized that deep healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Helping individuals—especially young women who have experienced trauma—find confidence, strength, and healthy relationships is incredibly fulfilling. I believe in creating a safe and compassionate space where healing can happen, and I feel privileged to walk alongside my clients as they reclaim their lives and move toward the future they deserve.
I use CBT to help you better understand how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors.
I use EMDR to help you reprocess your trauma so that you are no longer living in the past.
EFT or tapping is easy to learn and a quick skill to have in your toolbox.
I use TF-CBT to help clients reprocess their trauma while learning skills to exist in everyday life.
