I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with three years of clinical experience providing telehealth-based psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. My professional identity is grounded in social work values and a commitment to trauma-informed, relational, and practical care. My background includes extensive experience in child welfare, with prior work in Child Protective Services and adoption services. This foundation has shaped my understanding of how early adversity, family systems, and relational experiences influence emotional well-being across the lifespan. I approach therapy with an appreciation for both individual strengths and the broader contexts in which people live, work, and care for others. As a clinician, I strive to create a therapeutic space that is collaborative, respectful, and emotionally safe. I work from an integrative framework that draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and attachment-informed principles. My style is both exploratory and skills-based, allowing room for insight while also focusing on practical strategies that support meaningful change in daily life. I believe that therapy should be responsive to each client’s unique needs, goals, and pace. I emphasize building a strong therapeutic alliance, clarifying goals, and helping clients develop tools for emotional regulation, problem-solving, and self-understanding. Through telehealth, I aim to provide accessible, high-quality care that supports growth, resilience, and long-term well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to establish a foundation for our work together. My goal is to create a space that feels welcoming, respectful, and emotionally safe, where you can share at your own pace. During our first session, we will spend time discussing what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. I may ask about your current concerns, important life experiences, and any previous experiences with counseling. This helps me better understand your needs and begin developing an initial picture of how I can support you. We will also review practical details such as confidentiality, the structure of sessions, and how telehealth visits work. You will have time to ask questions about my approach, what therapy may look like moving forward, and any concerns you may have about starting therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session. Many people begin therapy feeling unsure about where to start, and that is completely okay. We will work together to clarify your goals and identify what feels most important to address. My approach is collaborative and individualized. I will listen carefully, offer guidance when helpful, and work with you to develop a plan that fits your goals, strengths, and pace. Whether you are seeking support for a specific concern or looking for a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, the first session is simply the first step in that process. Above all, you can expect a respectful, nonjudgmental environment focused on understanding you and supporting your growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to balance empathy with practicality. I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported, while also helping them move toward meaningful, tangible change in their daily lives. Clients often describe my style as warm, thoughtful, and grounded, with a focus on both understanding their experiences and identifying realistic steps forward. What stands out about my therapeutic approach is its flexibility and responsiveness to each client’s unique needs. I do not rely on a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I integrate evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and attachment-informed principles to support insight, skill development, and relational growth. This allows me to work effectively with a wide range of concerns while remaining focused on each client’s goals and strengths. I am particularly skilled in helping clients make sense of complex emotions, identify unhelpful patterns in thoughts or relationships, and develop tools for emotional regulation and problem-solving. My background in child welfare and family systems informs my work with both individuals and families, allowing me to consider not only what is happening internally for a client but also how their environment and relationships influence their well-being. Another strength of my practice is my trauma-informed lens. I prioritize emotional safety, collaboration, and pacing, ensuring that clients feel respected and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. I believe meaningful progress happens when clients feel both supported and actively engaged in their growth. Ultimately, what sets my work apart is my commitment to providing therapy that is relational, evidence-based, and practical, helping clients gain clarity, build resilience, and create lasting change in ways that feel achievable and authentic to them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with clients across the lifespan who are seeking a thoughtful, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. My practice is well-suited for children, adolescents, adults, and families who are open to exploring their experiences, strengthening coping skills, and developing a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Many of the clients who benefit most from my approach are individuals navigating periods of transition, stress, or uncertainty. This may include parents adjusting to new roles, professionals managing work-related stress, students facing academic or developmental challenges, and caregivers balancing the demands of supporting others while caring for themselves. I am particularly well suited to work with clients who are motivated to reflect on patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and who are interested in building practical skills to improve daily functioning. Given my background in child welfare, I am well positioned to support children and families impacted by early adversity, trauma, or disruptions in caregiving relationships. I work effectively with parents who are seeking guidance in understanding their child’s emotional and behavioral needs, strengthening attachment, and promoting healthy family dynamics. I also work with adults who are processing the long-term impact of childhood experiences and are seeking to develop healthier relational patterns. My ideal clients often present with concerns related to anxiety, stress, adjustment to life changes, parenting challenges, relational difficulties, and the emotional impact of complex life circumstances. I work well with clients who appreciate a balance between insight-oriented exploration and strengths- and skills-based interventions. My clinical style is flexible and responsive, adapting to each client’s goals, developmental stage, and readiness for change. I am particularly well suited for clients who value a trauma-informed and relational approach, and who are open to both reflecting on their internal experiences and practicing new strategies for coping and problem-solving. Through telehealth, I provide care to individuals and families who prefer the accessibility and convenience of remote therapy while still seeking a high level of clinical support. At this time, my practice is not focused on geriatric populations, as my primary training and experience are concentrated in child, adolescent, adult, and family wor

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as one of my primary treatment approaches, using a structured and collaborative framework to guide assessment, treatment planning, and intervention. My CBT-informed practice focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how these patterns contribute to psychological distress and functional impairment. I incorporate psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring, behavioral strategies, and skills development to support symptom reduction, emotional regulation, and adaptive coping. My use of CBT is trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate, with ongoing attention to individualized case formulation and measurable treatment goals.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I utilize Child–Parent Psychotherapy as an attachment-based and trauma-informed approach when working with young children and their caregivers. My use of CPP principles emphasizes the parent–child relationship as the primary context for healing and focuses on supporting safety, co-regulation, and the repair of relational disruptions related to trauma and early adversity. I incorporate dyadic interventions, caregiver involvement, and developmentally appropriate strategies to strengthen attachment, improve emotional regulation, and promote healthy relational functioning within the family system.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy as a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that emphasizes clients’ strengths, resources, and existing capacities for change. My use of SFBT focuses on identifying clear treatment goals, amplifying exceptions to presenting problems, and supporting clients in developing practical, achievable steps toward their preferred outcomes. This approach is used to promote hope, enhance motivation, and facilitate efficient, client-centered change within a brief and focused treatment framework.
