Welcome and thank you for considering me as part of your therapeutic support system. Seeking therapy can feel daunting, or maybe even frustrating, but you're making the right choice. I offer individual therapy and group therapy for those who are recovering from traumatic events/histories. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting (BSP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and some somatic experiencing to support clients with deeper processing and longer meaningful change. Individual trauma-informed therapy provides specialized care to work through intense emotions privately. While group therapy offers relatability, experience, evidence, and community. Witnessing the healing and growth of others can help you experience healing and growth of your own. I can also provide you with information for additional support services that can enhance your treatment. I'm here to help. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. Let's work together!
Clients can expect the intake session to include a detailed history collection with discussion about mental health history, family history, education/employment, medical management, previous trauma, and presenting concerns. Clients can also expect to share their symptoms and preferences in order for me to determine if I have the expertise to achieve the treatment goal(s), or if a referral is required.
My greatest strength as a therapist is educating and equipping clients with skills and information that help them feel empowered and in control of their lives.
I am best positioned to serve the following types of clients: Adults who have experienced trauma by its clinical definition. Adults who are looking for deeper processing beyond what talk therapy can offer. Adults who may have been in therapy for years with only small progress. Adults interested in group therapy support. Adults who are open-minded to somatic work and frequency healing.
Brainspotting
I use Brainspotting for deeper processing and exploration when appropriate. A useful intervention when clients are feeling stuck with decisions, or blocked in their emotions.
EMDR
I use EMDR for treating client with unresolved trauma or emotional pain. Helping clients improve emotional regulation and somatic processing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT plays a huge role in most treatment methods. I often use narrative therapy and parts work to help clients understand the origin of their beliefs, the influence of those beliefs on their decisions, and how thinking differently can change how they feel.
Trauma Informed Care
I am certified as a clinical trauma professional, therefore I consider the influence of trauma in all aspects of emotional pain.
