New to Grow
Hi, I am Erma Croom. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own healing journey. Through personal experience, I came to understand the deep pain that can accompany mental health challenges—and the transformative power of compassionate support. This lived insight ignited a passion to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health, especially within underserved and marginalized communities. Over time, that passion evolved into a calling: to create and facilitate healing spaces where individuals and communities feel safe, seen, and empowered. I believe that healing is not a solitary process—it’s relational, cultural, and spiritual. As a therapist, I bring warmth, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey. My approach is rooted in compassion and guided by the belief that healing begins with feeling truly seen and heard. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. My work is rooted in the belief that every person carries the capacity for growth and resilience, and that with the right support, we can reconnect to our inner wisdom and reclaim our wholeness.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and I honor the courage it takes to begin. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you’ll be seen, heard, and respected. Our work together will be collaborative and paced to honor your nervous system, helping you build a greater sense of safety and empowerment.
With a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and a heart for human connection, I support individuals through life’s challenges — from anxiety and trauma to relationship struggles and personal growth. I listen with intention, respond with care, and walk alongside my clients as they rediscover their strength, resilience, and sense of self. I offer a compassionate presence, grounded mindfulness, and a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that helps clients feel truly seen, heard and supported.
I specialize in supporting individuals who find themselves navigating emotional crossroads or seeking deeper understanding in their lives. My practice is especially attuned to: • Those healing from past emotional wounds, whether from relationships, trauma, or unresolved experiences • Individuals struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, or persistent worry • People in the midst of life transitions—whether it's a career change, loss, relocation, or identity shift • Seekers of meaning and purpose, who feel called to explore their inner world and live more authentically My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a belief in each person’s capacity for growth. If you're ready to move forward with clarity and courage, I’m here to walk alongside you.
I integrate spirituality with evidence-based practices to support your journey toward inner peace and authentic connection. I believe you already hold the wisdom to move forward; together, we’ll help you access it.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, trauma-informed, and deeply rooted in the belief that healing happens when we care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?” we’ll gently explore “What happened to you?” Shifting the focus from symptoms to the deeper story beneath. This approach helps identify how your past affects your present to support positive, compassionate change. You deserve healing. You deserve to feel whole. And I’m here to support you every step of the way.
