Hi, I am Erma Croom, a trauma informed, compassionate therapist, and spiritual companion for individuals who have spent years holding others. With decades of experience in pastoral leadership, chaplaincy and clinical counseling, I bring a rare blind of psychological insight, spiritual depth, and lived wisdom to my work. My practice centers on supporting spiritually grounded women, seasoned clergy, chaplains, faith leaders and other care providers who are ready to be held without losing your depth, independence, or sense of calling. I offer a grounded, compassionate authority--one that creates safety, invites pause, and honors the sacredness of each person's story.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and I honor the courage it takes to begin. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you’ll be seen, heard, and respected. Our work together will be collaborative and paced to honor your nervous system, helping you build a greater sense of safety and empowerment.
I bring a steady, clear presence shaped by decades of pastoral leadership, chaplaincy, and clinical counseling and psychotherapy. My role is not to direct your life, but to hold the space where your own inner authority can rise again. I integrate psychological insight with spiritual wisdom, offering a therapeutic space that is both emotionally safe and spiritually resonant. This is a place where your faith, your questions, your grief, and your resilience are all welcome.
My ideal clients are spiritually grounded women, seasoned clergy, chaplains, faith leaders and other care givers. For many years, I sat with care providers who like me were used to carrying others--individuals who were the steady ones, the wise ones, the ones everyone turned to. My background as a pastoral leader, chaplain, clinical counselor and psychotherapist allows me to meet spiritually grounded women, seasoned clergy, faith leaders and other caregivers at the intersection of spiritual depth, emotional wisdom, and lived experience. I help them integrate their depth and independence with a new capacity to receive care, so they can live from wholeness rather than depletion.

Integrative
I integrate spirituality with evidence-based practices to support your journey toward inner peace and authentic connection. I believe you already hold the wisdom to move forward; together, we’ll help you access it.
Trauma Informed Care
My approach to therapy is compassionate, trauma-informed, and deeply rooted in the belief that healing happens when we care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?” we’ll gently explore “What happened to you?” Shifting the focus from symptoms to the deeper story beneath. This approach helps identify how your past affects your present to support positive, compassionate change. You deserve healing. You deserve to feel whole. And I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
As a therapist, I personally incorporate mindfulness practices into my daily life and my professional work with clients. My goal is to leverage these techniques to help foster greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-compassion for both myself and those I support. This approach helps create a foundation for presence and understanding in our shared therapeutic journey.

Initially, I was given a mental health referral through TRICARE. I logged onto the website to view the different counselors, spoke with someone and they thought Miss Erma would be a good fit. I couldn’t have agreed more!
