It is my passion to make therapy a meaningful, healing, and transformative experience. I am deeply dedicated to the clients I have the honor of working with. Therapy begins with compassion, patience, and authentic human connection, being fully heard, understood, and accepted. My goal is to create a safe space where individuals can navigate life's overwhelming struggles and traumas. I offer a listening ear, empathy, grace, and practical skills, and I sometimes use humor to help lighten the journey and support growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll take time to review important details such as the benefits and potential risks of therapy, limits of confidentiality, your rights as a client, the cancellation policy, and any needs or accommodations that would help you feel comfortable. I’m genuinely interested in getting to know you as a whole person—not just what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, and I’ll explain my therapeutic approach and how I work to build a trusting, supportive relationship where you can feel comfortable being yourself. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and informed, with a clear understanding of what therapy with me can offer.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. My clinical work includes extensive experience supporting individuals with trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I approach therapy with empathy, warmth, and respect, while also finding gentle opportunities to thoughtfully challenge clients in ways that support growth and help them reach their goals. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to learn more about your current needs and goals, answer any questions you may have, and give you a sense of who I am and what it’s like to talk with me. I look forward to the possibility of working together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

As a trauma-informed therapist, I hold myself to a high standard in my clinical practice, meeting clients where they are and providing thoughtful, compassionate support. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process, and a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for meaningful change. I consider it a privilege to work with each client and tailor therapy to their individual needs, goals, and pace. My ideal client is someone who shows up as they are—no perfection required—willing to engage in the process and take steps, even small ones, toward growth.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I integrate attachment-based approaches into talk therapy, exploring early attachment experiences and the relationships that were formed in childhood. These early experiences can provide valuable insight into current and developing relationships. In my work, I like to take a "whole picture" approach, getting to know my clients and the relationships they have built throughout their lives, so we can better understand patterns, strengths, and areas for growth.

Christian Counseling

If desired, I can incorporate Christian faith into our work, helping support your mental health from a biblically informed perspective while honoring your personal beliefs and goals.

EMDR

My approach to EMDR is client-centered, collaborative, and paced according to each individual’s readiness. I prioritize building safety, stabilization, and coping skills before beginning reprocessing, ensuring clients feel grounded and supported throughout the process. I integrate EMDR within a broader therapeutic framework, drawing from evidence-based practices to address both past experiences and present-day triggers. I believe EMDR is a powerful and structured method that helps the brain process unresolved memories so they feel less overwhelming and disruptive. My goal is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can move toward relief, resilience, and lasting change.

Psychoeducation

When it fits into therapy, I offer psychoeducation to help clients better understand themselves and their experiences. My goal is to empower you with insight and tools that support growth, self-awareness, and the ability to create a life that feels healthy, fulfilling, and healing.

Trauma Informed Care

With extensive experience in Trauma-Informed Care, I weave its principles into every session, creating a safe and supportive environment. I combine empathy, compassion, and clear boundaries with practical strategies and realistic goal-setting, helping clients build coping skills and make meaningful progress on their therapeutic journey.
