I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maine who specializes in maternal mental health, infertility, women’s issues, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I understand that each person's journey is unique, often marked by both profound joys and overwhelming struggles. I offer telehealth-only therapy where we will work on achieving goals that are most important to you. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” people but about walking alongside them as they discover healing, clarity, and growth. My goal is to help individuals feel seen, heard, and supported. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an intake session where I will gather basic information on who you are and what brings you to therapy. It will include collecting historical information and discussing the goals that you would like to work on. I will help you in prioritizing these goals for future sessions. This initial session is getting to know who you are and what is important to you. In our subsequent sessions, we will start with a check-in to see how the previous week/weeks have been (what went well/what didn't go well).

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, women's health, maternal mental health, including infertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space for clients to discuss what causes them distress and what goals they have for themselves. We work together as a team to achieve those goals and overall reduce those problematic symptoms. You are the expert on how you are feeling, and I am just an additional piece to help guide you during your healing journey. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices, including person-centered, CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based, and strengths-based. I work with clients to uncover their strengths, build resilience, and develop practical coping strategies that help them navigate the complexities of daily life and major life changes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Clients need to be motivated to engage in therapy and to utilize the tools discussed. Therapy is hard work and change does not happen overnight. Progress and growth happen in small increments and over weeks, months, and years. As the client, you are the one who takes an active role while I, the therapist, provide guidance and support along the way.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe our thoughts truly impact how we feel and how we behave. Educating about this relationship helps clients understand the emotional impact our thoughts have on us. CBT is about trying to rewire the brain from those negative thinking patterns.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I like to incorporate mindfulness into therapy practice to establish tools for being in the present moment. Perseverating on the past or future can result in symptoms that can cause distress. Learning to bring yourself to the present moment through mindfulness and grounding techniques can help break that cycle.

Strength-Based

Recognizing that the client has strengths in a huge part of therapy. You are your own expert, and it is easy to allow the progress to go unnoticed. I am here to help notice that progress, regardless of how small.

Supportive

Providing continuous support, validation, and empathy is key to building rapport. Supportive therapy helps to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy trusts that the client is the expert in their own wellness and growth. As the therapist, I provide a non-judgmental space utilizing empathy and unconditional positive regard. I believe the client needs to lead the process at their own pace. This allows individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions freely, increase self-awareness, and move toward personal growth and greater alignment with their true selves.
