Welcome! I’m a licensed therapist passionate about helping clients navigate life’s transitions, uncover their strengths, and achieve meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and empowering journey where clients feel truly seen and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. My approach is warm, intuitive, and grounded in building a deep, trusting relationship where you feel comfortable exploring even the most challenging areas of your life. In our work together, I prioritize understanding your unique experiences and needs, tailoring sessions to help you achieve your goals. Using a combination of evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, I strive to meet you exactly where you are in your journey. My practice is rooted in empathy and authenticity, and I often integrate humor where appropriate—because even serious work can benefit from a light-hearted perspective that helps us see things more clearly. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also enjoy supporting clients who are pursuing personal and professional growth or looking to deepen their self-understanding. For me, therapy is about creating a space where you can safely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, gain insight, and develop strategies that lead to positive, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Although written information is valuable and I appreciate any information you take the time to write about yourself before your appointment, I find greater meaning in hearing your story directly from you. Emotions and energy breathe life into memories in a way that words on paper simply cannot. I come with a sincere curiosity to hear your story, recognizing that the foundation of therapy lies in the bond between counselor and client. The importance of being truly heard cannot be overstated; the real power of change hinges on the strength of the rapport we build. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe to explore discomfort, as it is often the catalyst for personal growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring my authentic self to each session, believing that being genuine and relatable first, and a therapist second, helps to convey healthy emotional expression and vulnerability, thereby encouraging clients to be more open and genuine themselves. I also have an intuitive ability to understand my clients' needs, allowing them to guide the pace of the session. I instinctively know when to lighten the mood with humor, offering breaks from deeper discussions. I am curious and creative and some of my past clients have described me as consistent, invested and easy to connect with. I describe myself as sensitive, empathetic, non-judgemental and open-minded. I will be your biggest cheerleader.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I find fulfillment in aiding young adults as they grapple with anxiety, trauma, and navigate life's transitions. Whether it's adjusting to college life, making career decisions, managing relationships, or exploring identity and self-discovery, I am strengh-based and empower my clients to harness their inner resilience in order to overcome obstacles and develop the skills needed to resolve issues and meet desired goals. I also have a passion for working with clients who are open to exploring a range of therapeutic approaches, including integrative and alternative methods that address the mind-body-spirit connection.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

My primary approach to therapy is grounded in trauma-informed principles, which emphasize safety, trust, and empowerment. I believe in creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I have an advanced Trauma certification through Evergreen (CCTP).

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT focuses on the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is based on the idea that our thoughts and perceptions influence our emotions and behaviors, and that by identifying and changing unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior, we can improve our well-being.

Robin listens and can draw out parts of a problem and offer thoughts about it to let me solve. Robin remembers facets from previous sessions that help me to understand my reaction to others’ behavior. Thank you.
