LCSW, 13 years of experience
I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2012, after earning my Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University. I’m licensed in Florida, Arizona, and Massachusetts. Over the years, I’ve worked with people dealing with anxiety, depression, divorce, parenting and co-parenting challenges, military life, and serious illness. I’m passionate about helping my clients navigate tough seasons of life, and I aim to create a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can talk things through, explore your emotions, and figure out practical steps forward. I take a collaborative approach and always tailor our work to what feels most helpful for you.
In our first session, my main goal is to make you feel comfortable and welcome. We’ll take some time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy and what you're hoping to get out of it. I’ll ask a bit about your background, what’s been challenging lately, and what strengths you already bring to the table. It’s really about starting to build a connection and setting the stage for the work we’ll do together. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, understood, and like you’re in a space where real change can happen.
I bring a non-judgmental and down-to-earth vibe to therapy, which is something that’s really shaped by my own life experiences and non-traditional upbringing. Those parts of my story help me relate to people from all kinds of backgrounds and understand that there’s no one “right” way to be. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself, say what’s really on your mind, and work through whatever you’re facing without fear of being judged. At the core, I’m here to meet you where you are, with openness, empathy, and a genuine desire to help you grow and heal in a way that feels true to you.
As a therapist, I specialize in working with a diverse range of clients, including young and older adults navigating life transitions, individuals going through divorce or separation, parents facing challenges in raising children, and anyone committed to personal growth and self-improvement. My clients are motivated to improve their lives but may not yet possess all the necessary skills.
I draw from a mix of different therapy styles—like cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, and narrative approaches—so we can find what fits best for you. This flexible approach helps me tailor our sessions to your unique goals and challenges, making sure our time together feels meaningful and useful. My goal is to help you build a practical set of tools you can use in everyday life, so you feel more confident navigating whatever comes your way.
Supportive therapy is all about creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted. I focus on really listening, offering encouragement, and being present without judgment. Together, we’ll explore whatever you're going through at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel more grounded and resilient, while also offering practical support as you face life’s ups and downs.
As a therapist utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), I work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors. Through structured sessions, I help clients understand how their thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, and I teach practical techniques to modify unhelpful patterns. By focusing on present-day issues and using goal-oriented strategies, CBT empowers clients to develop effective coping skills, enhance self-awareness, and achieve sustainable changes in their thoughts, feelings, and actions.
I work with parents and teens (13 and up) to create a space where everyone feels heard and respected. Whether it’s dealing with everyday stuff or bigger challenges, I’m here to support you all in finding solutions that work for your family.
