LPC, 4 years of experience
Life can feel overwhelming, and sometimes it’s hard to share those feelings with the people closest to us. Past experiences often have a way of creeping into the present—maybe you’ve wondered why you react a certain way or find yourself repeating patterns that don’t serve you. Together, we can get to the root of these struggles, work on healing the past, and create a more balanced present. Reaching out for help can feel intimidating, but you’ve already taken that first step by being here. Give yourself grace as you move through this decision. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can begin your journey of self-discovery and healing. I take a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy. Just as no two days are the same, no two clients are the same. I believe you are the expert in your life—you may not feel like you have the answers right now, but together, we’ll find what works best for you.
Our first session is about getting to know you—your life, experiences, and what led you to reach out for support. You’ll also have space to ask questions about therapy and set goals for what you’d like to focus on.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I have specialized training in treating shock trauma, developmental trauma, relational trauma, and complex PTSD. Trauma often shows up in unexpected ways—like depression, anxiety, self-harm, attachment struggles, or compulsive behaviors. Together we can find a way to untangle these patterns in a supportive way. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and stages of life, which allows me to meet you exactly where you are. As both an Army Veteran and a military spouse, I bring lived experience that informs my cultural awareness and deepens my commitment to incorporating diversity into my practice.
I enjoy working with young professionals, Active Duty Service Members, Veterans, First Responders and their families. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals and families affected by both the juvenile and criminal justice systems.
By using evidence based interventions, we will work together to gain a better understanding of how emotions interfere with thought processing, which can ultimately lead to distressing emotions. It has been my experience that our core beliefs can often play a significant role in gaining an understanding of the motivation of self and others.
Through psychoeducation and tailored interventions, TF-CBT provides structure and guidance to address symptoms of post-traumatic stress.
At the core of incorporating a feminist treatment modality, we will focus on your strengths while reframing distressing thoughts and emotions. As an impartial, equitable partner, I assist clients in recognizing their strengths and empowering them to become their own advocate for the change they would like to see in their lives.
Creating a space to share your story is the key to this approach. Reflecting on your past, your present and your envisioned future will provide you with the opportunity to set goals, assess strengths, resources, and build an autonomous, meaningful choice to create alternative solutions to various situations.
The goal of SFBT is to empower you to see the future you want for yourself while listening and reflecting on your past and current stressors. Reduction of stress and identifying goals will assist you in making the changes you want to see in your life.

Jennifer has truly helped me overcome so many of my challenges. She creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where I feel heard and respected. Jennifers open-minded approach allows me to explore all aspects of myself freely, and her insights have helped me grow emotionally and mentally. I always leave our sessions feeling more grounded, seen, and supported. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a compassionate, progressive therapist.
