I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. With over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and adults, I’ve learned that even our most difficult moments can become sources of strength and growth. My goal is to help you discover that resilience within yourself and support you as you move toward becoming the person you want to be.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, it’s completely normal to feel nervous—most people do. You might be wondering what to say, whether you’ll be judged, or if this is even the right step. I want you to know that this space is for you, and there’s no wrong way to show up. Some clients cry, some don’t. Some talk easily, others need time to find their words. All of it is okay. During our time together, I’ll ask questions to understand what’s brought you here, what’s been happening in your life, and what you’re hoping therapy might help with. This helps me get to know you and think about how we might work together. But this session is also for you to get a sense of me—whether you feel comfortable here, whether my approach feels right for you. Therapy works best when there’s a good fit, so trust your instincts about that. I want to be clear: you don’t need to share everything in the first session. We’ll move at whatever pace feels right for you. Some people dive deep immediately, others take time to build trust. I’ll follow your lead. After we finish, you might feel tired, or lighter, or maybe a bit vulnerable—all of that is normal. Opening up, even a little, takes energy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe therapy works best when it fits you—your background, your values, your goals. That’s why I draw from different evidenced based approaches to create a treatment plan that feels right. Whether we work together individually, with your family, or in a group setting, I’m committed to creating a space where you feel genuinely heard and understood.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I start by helping my client identify specific problems and set concrete goals. Throughout treatment, I teach specific skills: relaxation techniques for anxiety, behavioral activation for depression (scheduling pleasant activities), problem-solving strategies, and ways to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns. My relationship with clients is collaborative rather than directive—I act more like a coach helping them develop tools they can use independently.
