Hi, I’m glad you’re here and taking this step toward finding the right support. Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and I hope this helps you get a sense of whether I might be a good fit for you. I bring over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maine and West Virginia. I earned my undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and completed my master’s degree at the University of Denver. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with youth and adults navigating trauma, grief and loss, and major life transitions. These experiences have shaped my belief that healing looks different for everyone, and that therapy works best when it’s collaborative, respectful, and paced to your needs. No matter what brings you to therapy, my goal is to support you in creating meaningful change and moving toward the life you want—together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We’ll start at your pace. The first session is a time for us to get to know one another and begin creating a safe, supportive space where trust can develop. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable as we talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll gather some basic information, review the intake process, and answer any questions you may have. Together, we’ll begin exploring your goals, discuss next steps, and talk about follow-up sessions and scheduling in a way that works best for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

At the heart of my work is creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and sharing openly. I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative, built on trust, and guided by your needs and goals. I strive to be present, attentive, and compassionate, while also being clear and transparent about the process. My approach is flexible and responsive, allowing us to move at a pace that feels right for you, sit with difficult emotions when they arise, and focus on building insight and skills that support lasting change beyond our sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am eager to work with individuals who are ready to navigate the challenges in their lives and explore new possibilities. I am uniquely positioned to support people who have experienced trauma and loss. Together, we will explore the core issues affecting your well-being, including those that may interfere with day-to-day life. My goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create the changes you want in your life.

Change is inevitable. Coming to acceptance can be difficult. Learn skills and strategies to address emotional dysregulation and balance interpersonal effectiveness.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Focus on the present moment and learn skills to manage stress, break negative thought patterns and improve emotional regulation.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Specific to children and adolescence, a technique to help them process traumatic events and learn specific skills to cope with upsetting events.
