New to Grow
I am a warm, compassionate, and direct therapist dedicated to helping adults navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and self-understanding. My work focuses on supporting individuals who are neurodivergent or part of the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, as well as those managing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, or family difficulties. I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my practice, which allows me to connect with clients in an authentic and deeply empathetic way. With a specialized master’s degree in neurodiversity and ongoing doctoral studies in Professional Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family Systems, I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) through an attachment-focused lens. My clients often describe me as someone who listens with empathy but also provides honest, insightful feedback that inspires real growth. I strive to create a space that feels both safe and empowering—where you can explore your experiences without judgment and gain tools that make a meaningful difference in your daily life. I often incorporate workbooks, journaling, and mindfulness practices to support progress between sessions, tailoring each plan to fit your comfort and goals. Above all, I see therapy as a partnership built on trust, respect, and curiosity. My goal is to walk alongside you as you uncover your strengths, heal from past wounds, and move toward a more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling life.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where you can relax and be yourself. My goal is to get to know you not just what’s bringing you to therapy, but who you are as a person. We’ll start by talking about your main concerns and what you’d like to get out of therapy, but I’ll also ask thoughtful questions about your background, childhood, and family relationships to better understand your story and the patterns that may be shaping your experiences today. I want our conversation to feel natural and collaborative, more like a meaningful dialogue than a clinical assessment. You’re always in control of what you choose to share, and there’s no right or wrong place to begin. Together, we’ll start to identify your goals and build a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and tailored to your needs. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the journey ahead, knowing that you have someone walking beside you every step of the way.
What sets me apart as a therapist is the balance I bring between professional expertise and lived experience. As someone who personally understands neurodiversity, chronic conditions, and parenting a neurodivergent child, I approach therapy with deep empathy and real-world understanding. I know what it’s like to search for support that truly feels validating, and that insight shapes how I connect with each client. Professionally, I hold a specialized master’s degree focused on neurodiversity and am completing my PhD in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Systems. This combination of academic training and personal experience allows me to bridge compassion with evidence-based care. My therapeutic strengths lie in my warm, grounded, and direct approach. I use CBT, ACT, and EFT through an attachment-focused lens, helping clients identify and shift unhelpful patterns while fostering awareness, resilience, and self-compassion. Clients often describe me as both understanding and straightforward—someone who listens deeply but also says what needs to be said to help them move forward.
My ideal clients are adults 18 and older who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. I work especially well with neurodivergent individuals and members of the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities who are seeking a safe, affirming, and empowering space to explore their experiences. Many of my clients come to therapy navigating anxiety, depression, complex trauma, family dysfunction, mood disorders, or challenges related to identity and belonging. They are often insightful, self-aware, and motivated to grow but may feel stuck in unhelpful thought patterns or struggling to balance the expectations of others with their own needs. In our work together, I help clients uncover patterns that no longer serve them, build emotional awareness, and develop practical tools for lasting change. Using CBT, ACT, and EFT through an attachment-focused lens, I guide clients in exploring how their past experiences shape their present challenges while fostering greater self-compassion and resilience. My approach is warm, compassionate, and direct I listen deeply, reflect what I see, and offer honest feedback with care and respect. Whether you’re hoping to heal from past wounds, strengthen relationships, or better understand your neurodiverse identity, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and clarity as you move toward growth, healing, and confidence in who you are.
I use a combination of cbt during sessions combined with other unique methods tailored to each client.
Act is worked into talk therapy sessions usually combined with cognitive behavioral therapy where you will be challenging your thoughts and practicing radical acceptance at the same time.
I tend to use a lens of attachment, I spend a lot of time asking clients about their childhood, relationships with family members and giving assesments for clients to discover more about their attachment styles. Over time i help clients find common threads between current life and childhood and we work though how you became who you are as well as acceptance of pieces that can not be changed and using cognitive therapy to work on reframing internal thoughts.
When using eft, I tie all the theory's together and encourage processing of feelings, noticing feelings, and i tend to ask whats happening right in this moment during an emotionally charged conversation.
