LPC, 6 years of experience
Hi, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Missouri. I completed my Masters at Mercer University Atlanta and have been practicing for 6 years. I believe everyone deserves to live a life that is fulfilling and meaningful. I help adults find clarity and calm to build a life that feels more aligned with who they really are.
We'll start with introductions, then focus on the unique challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.
Having specialized in traumatic stress and grief for the past 6 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you clients identify the root cause of their challenges and to create tailored plans that lead to measurable progress.
I enjoy working with adults who are willing and determined to make change but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about how to move forward — I offer a space that’s both compassionate and focused on action.
I use a trauma informed approach, recognizing how past experiences, especially those involving broken trust or emotional neglect can shape the way you think, feel and connect with others. With six years experience and and certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional, I help clients work through these patterns at a pace that is grounded and manageable. I believe many trauma responses stem from attachment disruptions whether in early life or adulthood.
I offer faith-based counseling for clients who want to include their spiritual beliefs in the healing process. I believe that honoring your values and faith can lead to a more meaningful, tailored, and authentic experience. Spirituality can be a powerful source of strength, insight, and clarity—and it deserves space in your journey if it matters to you.
CBT is an evidence-based approach that I have used over the past six years, that focus on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. When we identify unhelpful patterns in how you think about yourself or situations, you can begin to make lasting changes in how you feel and act.
Cognitive Processing Therapy is also an evidence based approach grounded in CBT that is a manualized time/session limited approach that focuses on thoughts that keep you stuck in negative emotions and unhelpful behaviors. Similarly to CBT the goal is to identify unhelpful patterns in how you think about yourself or your experiences, so you can begin to make lasting changes in how you think, feel and act.
I’ve used EMDR for the past three years to help clients heal from distressing and overwhelming experiences. EMDR works by engaging the mind-body connection to reduce emotional intensity and calm the nervous system. It can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, and other stuck emotional patterns.
