Welcome! I am a Licensed Independent Social Work based in Ohio. I received my Masters degree from The Ohio State University and have been practicing for 3 years. I help children, adolescents, young adults, and adults identify current stressors and how to better manage difficult situations. I am passionate about helping people find self-confidence and motivation to achieve their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will complete some general introductions and identify the main reasoning for beginning services. After that, we will review a few housekeeping items such as scheduling, expectations, and communication preferences. Finally, I will leave some time for any current questions or concerns and potential answers and solutions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been fortunate enough to work with a variety of populations with different types of goals. I believe that you know you best and it is my job to show up to support your goals that you have. I show up to my sessions authentically and real always. I like to use activities or different ideas to better connect with you and your goals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I primarily work with children, teens, and young adults experiencing a variety of difficulties. I love working with teens and young adults learning to navigate the world and how to effectively communicate with others. I have experience working with children as young as 3 to manage emotions and behaviors. I also have a specialty to work with children and adolescents who have problematic sexual behaviors and difficulties respecting boundaries with others.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a great tool to correct the thoughts that contribute to unwanted behaviors and emotions. I utilize CBT during treatment to identify any thought patterns, emotions, or behaviors you want to change and then collaborate to find a better cognitive pattern to achieve your identified goals.

Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)

I have been certified in PCIT and used this in practice for about a year with children and families both in person and telehealth. PCIT supports the relationship between children and caregivers by using structured play and communication. PCIT is great for children with aggressive, defiant, and attention-seeking behaviors.

Trauma-Focused CBT

TFCBT is a great treatment method for children and teens that have experienced trauma. TFCBT allows children and adolescents to process previous traumatic experiences while also expressing themselves openly and learning ways to better manage trauma-related symptoms.
