About me

I’m a therapist who helps queer and straight individuals and couples strengthen their relationships and deepen their emotional connection. My work is rooted in trauma-informed, emotion-focused, and strength-based approaches that honor your unique experiences and goals. I create a safe, collaborative space where healing and growth feel possible—so you can build the kind of relationships and life that truly support your well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy and what meaningful change looks like for you. Together, we’ll create a clear picture of your goals—whether that’s feeling more connected in your relationship, finding balance after a difficult experience, or learning to communicate in new ways. I’ll also be honest about what might get in the way of those goals, because lasting growth means acknowledging both your strengths and the barriers you face. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling seen, supported, and clear about the path forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is how I blend evidence-based methods with genuine warmth and collaboration. I use trauma-informed, emotion-focused, and strength-based techniques to help clients make real, lasting changes in how they relate to themselves and others. Clients often notice meaningful progress within the first few sessions as we uncover patterns, build emotional clarity, and create practical steps toward healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to work with individuals and couples—both queer and straight—who want to improve communication, heal from past relationship wounds, and build stronger emotional connections. My clients are often thoughtful, self-aware people who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns and want to understand themselves and their relationships on a deeper level. Whether you’re navigating trust issues, conflict, trauma, or a desire for more closeness, I help you move from disconnection to understanding and from survival to genuine growth.

My treatment methods

Couples Counseling

In my work, I use couples counseling as a structured, evidence-based process to help partners strengthen connection, heal from relational injuries, and build new patterns of emotional safety. My approach draws from emotion-focused and trauma-informed methods, helping couples move beyond surface conflict to understand the deeper needs driving disconnection. Whether partners are in crisis or simply seeking to grow together, I focus on creating a safe, collaborative space where both voices are heard and respected. Most couples begin to notice meaningful shifts in understanding and communication within the first few sessions.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is at the heart of my work. I use it to help clients slow down, tune into what’s happening beneath the surface, and make sense of emotions that often feel overwhelming or confusing. In session, I guide people toward identifying core emotional patterns—how they show up in relationships, how they protect, and how they heal. The goal isn’t to get rid of feelings but to understand and transform them, creating space for genuine connection and change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) is a practical, strengths-based approach I often use to help clients move toward change efficiently and with clarity. Instead of spending too much time dissecting problems, I focus on what’s already working—helping clients identify small, realistic steps that lead to meaningful progress. In my practice, I use SFBT to help clients build momentum and confidence early in the process. It’s especially helpful for clients who feel stuck or overwhelmed. Together, we define clear goals, highlight strengths, and explore exceptions—those moments when the problem has less control. This method aligns with my overall approach: collaborative, affirming, and focused on helping clients see that meaningful change is not only possible, but already beginning.

Trauma Informed Care

In my practice, trauma-informed care isn’t just a framework—it’s a mindset. I approach every client with the understanding that past experiences can shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world. This means creating a space where safety, trust, and collaboration come first. Rather than asking “what’s wrong with you,” I focus on “what happened to you” and how those experiences continue to impact emotional and relational patterns. My work integrates trauma-informed principles into every session, helping clients build awareness, regulate emotions, and move toward healing at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
