I'm a Dual Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of clinical experience, I received my Masters from South University in Florida, and my post masters from Florida State University. I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life, I enjoy motivating and educating my patients about their mental health so they can better advocate on their own behalf and optimize their relationships, careers, and social outcomes. I strive to support women and moms, who have felt defeated by life demands, redefine their life experiences and take back their power. I specialize in treating a wide range of conditions including anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, postpartum depression and many others.
I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure.
Friends and patients would describe me as being a great listener, having a warm personality, and expressing a caring, positive attitude. My empathy and patience with others, to fully listen to the details until they are ready to hear a little feedback or possible first steps is an approach i bring to every collaborative session.
I enjoy working with all age groups with conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, postpartum depression and many others.
I provide Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps you identify unhealthy, negative beliefs and behaviors and learn healthier coping skills.
I provide Dialectical behavior therapy, a type of CBT that teaches behavioral skills to help you handle stress, manage your emotions and improve your relationships with others in a culturally and sensitive approach.
