LMFT, 15 years of experience
I’m Tiffany Vigil, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I help people navigate their work-life balance and provide tools to practice better self-care and learn how to manage emotions more effectively. I use a strength-based approach and use techniques such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy). It can take a lot of courage to start with a new therapist and I strive to help you feel comfortable and supported while you work to reach your personal goals. Life can be hard sometimes! Therapy can help.
In the first session, I will gather information about your history, including past significant life events, as well as current struggles or symptoms, and get an idea of what you are looking for in therapy. Goals for therapy can be general support or more specific objectives, depending on what you need. You might need help with navigating work/life balance. Or perhaps you want to overcome specific anxiety symptoms. Or maybe a stressful circumstance from the past may still bring up strong feelings that you would like to work through and be more centered around.
I have been fascinated with the field of psychology since junior high and have been amazed at how psychological techniques can help myself and others to work through difficulties and grow as people. Life can flow so much better when you have support and a psychological framework.
I see adult clients and can help with issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, and work-life balance.
I am trained in EMDR, including advanced trainings in Avoidance In EMDR Therapy: Blocking Beliefs, Defenses, And Getting Unstuck.
