In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we will talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll invite you to share whatever feels comfortable—your current concerns, recent experiences, and any goals or hopes you have for our work together. There is no pressure to prepare anything or tell your whole story at once; we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. I’ll also ask some questions to better understand your background, support system, and what day-to-day life looks like for you. This helps me get a fuller picture of what you’re navigating. We’ll talk openly about what you need, what kind of support feels most helpful, and how therapy can be tailored to fit you. By the end of the session, we’ll have begun to outline a direction for our work. Most importantly, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and reassured that you don’t have to navigate this alone.

My therapeutic approach is a blend of depth, collaboration, and compassion. My style is collaborative and client-centered—I see therapy as a shared process, and I regularly check in about what feels helpful so we can adjust the direction together. I balance depth-oriented exploration with practical tools, helping clients understand the roots of their emotional experiences while also building skills they can use in daily life.

I focus on coping with anxiety, grief, or major life transitions — I also work closely with individuals and families impacted by cancer. Your goals might include processing a diagnosis, navigating bereavement, adjusting to new life roles, strengthening coping skills, or reconnecting with meaning and purpose.
