LCSW, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
If you made it this far, hello and welcome! My name is Brianna, and I'm happy to be here. I've been in the field for 8+ years, and I bring to the table a readiness to meet my clients where they are, and walk alongside them while they navigate this journey that is life. My background includes working in both outpatient and residential mental health settings, treating clients with areas of focus being anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, traumatic brain injury, chronic health issues, and more. This experience has equipped me to help a variety of individuals to achieve their goals and to grow, unique to their own personal experiences. I am both an LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) and have a CBIS (certified brain injury specialist). On a more personal level, I enjoy reading, collecting crystals, crafting, and going to tea rooms.
I like to create an environment that feels supportive, genuine, and real. Our first session will allow us to get to know each other, and understand your needs and preferences. I'll guide you through sharing what brings you here, what you hope to gain from this experience, set some concrete goals, and discuss how we can work together to get you where you want to be. Feel free to get comfortable, bring a cup of tea, bring your pet--whatever makes you feel relaxed and ready to get to work.
I strive to meet my clients where they are, meeting them with unconditional positive regard, patience, and support. Together we will put in the work to achieve your goals. We will learn, we will grow, and we will make positive changes. I have been fortunate to work with a wide variety of clientele, and have learned something valuable from each and every experience to further my therapeutic approach and to continue on this journey of helping others.
My ideal clients will come to therapy with an open mind, with a willingness to put in the effort it takes to make solid and positive changes in their lives. If you resonate with this, we will be a good match.
How we think about things, and our perception, is a huge part in how we grow and adapt. CBT is a very commonly used modality that enhances our ability to challenge negative beliefs and improve our outlook while achieving our goals.
Identifying one's own unique capabilities and looking at someone as a whole, and not just pieces of themselves, is a helpful tool in our personal growth journey.
I tend to pull from various modalities and methods when providing interventions to tailor the experience to the person's needs.
Our life experiences shape who we are today. What someone has been through and their story is key in navigating our path in life, and in understanding ourselves and our needs as we grow.
Every person has their own set of strengths, and this is what I will pull from in each session.
