New to Grow
Welcome! My name is Erica and I am so proud of you for taking this first step to mind health and wellness. I am always rooting for you and I am honored to help you through this season in your life. Whether we’re working through a tough transition or identifying steps towards a personal goal, my hope is that you walk away with a stronger sense of self compassion and self love.
During our first session, we lay the blueprint for your care and chart our path forward. We work on this together by me getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. It is completely normal to feel nervous about your first session, however, my hope is that you slowly feel more comfortable to ultimately reach your goals.
There is always a rainbow after the rain and I want to help you find yours. I have always had a deep desire to help others, even as a young child, I wanted to people to feel less sad. This desire has deepened over the years which led me to wanting to serve people through therapy, to walk alongside people and battle through their rough patch/patches. I found my niche with with perinatal parents and I hope to help you on your journey.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating the perinatal period—those who are pregnant, postpartum, or planning to grow their families. I also support birthing people experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, birth trauma, or identity transitions. My clients often include new parents, those struggling with fertility, or individuals processing past reproductive experiences. I provide a safe, culturally affirming space for clients from diverse backgrounds, including Black and African American communities, to explore healing and growth.
I primarily use Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, which means we will work together to clarify your goals, identify what is already working, and build on your existing resources, rather than focusing solely on problems. I help you envision the changes you want to make, by identifying what motivates you and we will take practical steps towards those changes at a pace that feels right for you.
