About me

Hi, I’m Brooke. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with teens, adults, and couples navigating life transitions, relationships, and personal growth. Many of my clients are high-achieving, insightful, and driven, yet at times feel stuck, disconnected, unsure of their next step, or think therapy is not for them. Others see me because their usual coping skills aren’t working anymore, and deep down, you know something has to change. I help you find relief, clarity, and peace, whether therapy is new to you or you've tried before and felt it didn’t help.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is the first step in our therapeutic relationship and the therapy process. I will share a little bit more about myself, things you can expect from therapy in general and with me. I will ask about past therapy experiences, what brings you here today, and go over different areas of your life such as family of origin and how those relationships are today, current important relationships, coping, hobbies, work/school. The first session I ask broad questions related to all of the unique components that make you you, and let you share what you think is the most important. The 1st session you will always leave with a tool or two.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe therapy isn’t just what happens during a session. It’s a life practice that continues in the space between sessions. In my experience, real healing takes an awareness and curiosity to grow. Therapy takes patience, asks for your courage, tenderness, honesty, humor, and play.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My approach is holistic, blending mind, body, movement, nutrition, and strength. I'm warm, direct, and collaborative, using family systems, CBT, Solution Focused, Narrative, mindfulness, and somatic tools to help you feel grounded and clear. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and what matters most.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Together, we use CBT to explore the way you see yourself, others, and the world. Based off of your views, I help you create more balanced and complete thoughts, leading to more balanced behaviors.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have spent 15+ years practicing and studying different mindfulness approaches such as various lineages of yoga, breath work, somatic practices, and integrating nature. I take the time to teach and explore mindfulness skills that work for you.

Strength-Based

Whether you feel stuck or not, we will explore different types of personal strengths, big or small, and use them to create solutions and decrease problem focused thinking.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In most cases, we cannot control others or external circumstances. Many people come to therapy because there is someone or something they cant change. Using ACT we explore things that are in your control while working to accept the things that you cannot change.
