About me

Greetings! My name is Jasmine and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based out of Georgia. I attended South Carolina State University and completed my graduate studies at Webster University. I began working in the field back in 2019 treating a multitude of disorders such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, ADHD, and Grief. I have worked in different environments such as hospitalization, outpatient, community based, corrections and providing Telehealth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, you can expect me to get to know your reasonings for what brought you to therapy. It's important for me to gather important details about your past and present to get a good picture of how we ended up together in therapy. These details will help me understand what our therapeutic journey will look like when developing your treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider is my "down to earth" personality. It is my goal to provide you a safe space where you can let your guard down and use our time as your safe space to release, discuss, feel and just be yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with young adolescents and adults in their 30s and 40s of all ethnicities. It's my belief that clients choose therapist that they feel can understand them whether if it is pertaining to age related challenges, cultural issues, relationship concerns, work/school.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT theory is my primary modality when treating clients. My belief is that our struggles stem from irrational ways of thinking which leads to uncomfortable feelings and emotions. Those emotions impact how we respond which influences our behaviors. I utilize this treatment method to help you become more aware of your thoughts and work towards challenging them.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is a huge part in understanding your diagnosis, learning your symptoms and being open to different teachings regarding coping strategies. Psychoeducation is a modality that I utilize on a continuous basis throughout the therapeutic relationship.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief therapy techniques is a modality used when I feel it's important to focus on the present and working towards future oriented goals by looking for previous solutions, exceptions to the problem, asking scaling questions, offering praise and validation. I utilize this treatment method more for short term goals that can be accomplished which focuses more on solutions than problems.

This first session was very pleasant. Ms. Jenkins allowed me to express my thoughts and questioned any negative feelings I had about myself. I’m excited to share this journey and look forward to this growth opportunity.

Jasmine takes a sisterly approach to therapy. She tells me what I need to hear without being judgmental. The solutions are small actionable items that don’t feel pushy or overwhelming. She’s been helpful keeping things in perspective for family, relationship, and work drama. I strongly recommend Jasmine. She’s the best mental health professional I’ve had in the last 10 years!
