New to Grow
I approach my work as a systematic thinker who combines empathy, nonjudgment, and compassionate behavioral practice to create a safe, supportive therapeutic environment. I am flexible and resourceful in helping clients identify and challenge patterns of cognitive and emotional “acculturation,” while fostering self-love and positive self-talk as pathways to healing. My practice focuses on empowering individuals to build insight, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and family conflict, offering guidance that is grounded in compassion, clarity, and evidence-based intervention.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session with me, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where I focus on getting to know you—your concerns, your goals, and what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. I’ll guide the conversation in a way that feels structured yet flexible, so you can share at your own pace. I approach this time with empathy and without judgment, making it easy for you to speak openly about what you’re experiencing. I’ll also take time to explain how I work: a blend of compassionate behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and systematic thinking.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets my practice apart is the balance I bring between deep compassion and clear, intentional structure. I combine a systematic way of understanding clients’ patterns with genuine empathy, flexibility, and a nonjudgmental presence. I focus on helping clients live more intentional by aligning their choices with their values rather than their fears, conditioning, or old narratives.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is someone who is ready to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and is open to exploring new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding to life’s challenges. Most importantly, my ideal client is ready to move toward growth, healing, and intentional living.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most evidence-based and widely practiced therapeutic approaches. My background includes training in core CBT principles, structured interventions, case conceptualization, and the application of CBT techniques for anxiety, depression, stress management, behavioral change, and maladaptive thought patterns.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have extensive experience utilizing the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment model, both as a framework for understanding clients’ emotional and behavioral patterns and as a structured method for building coping skills. My work draws on the core DBT modules—Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness—which I integrate flexibly depending on the client’s needs, goals, and readiness for change.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I have extensive experience using the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model in clinical practice. I am familiar with the core ACT processes—including cognitive defusion, acceptance, values clarification, present-moment awareness, self-as-context, and committed action—and I integrate these principles to help clients build psychological flexibility. Over time, I have applied ACT with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and interpersonal challenges.
