LPC, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
We all face challenges—some big, some small—that can deeply impact our lives. These struggles can feel overwhelming, draining our mind, body, and spirit. I understand this personally, having walked through my own experiences with depression and anxiety. With the support of God, professionals, and family, I was able to grow stronger through those difficult times. My journey led me from Nursing into the field of Counseling, where I now feel called to help others find hope, healing, and strength in the midst of their own challenges.
The first session with me will be a comfortable time of my getting to know you as a person. . .your name, age, your family/support system, your problem, your health history, your occupation, your education, your strength, and your goals for therapy. I will guide you along the way with questions as we talk about what makes you, you.
My approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and compassion. I will be present with you in your pain, offering understanding, not judgment. I’m here to walk beside you—not to fix you, but to help you discover the strength that already lives within you. No matter where you are in your journey, please know: you’re not alone, and there is hope. I would be honored to work with you through life’s challenges and help you uncover your resilience and strength, one step at a time.
For nearly nine years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, and anger. Also, I can help those seeking LPC licensure in the state of Georgia through my credential of Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) . In addition, I have obtained national certification as a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), with a focus on providing counseling services to Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter, Paramedic, 911 Dispatcher, and other First Responder occupations.
I became nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) 8 years ago. I have been using this treatment method in working with abused children and adolescents. With good caregiver involvement, this treatment method has been proven to be very successful.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and self-esteem. This treatment method involves identifying the ways our thoughts and feelings impact how we process the situations/problems around us.
In Christian counseling, I encourage clients to lean in and include their spiritual faith in their healing journey to find calmness in life's storms with God.
By my providing empathetic listening and a non-judgmental space, a client is empowered to find unique and various ways to look at a problem, and together we can uncover positive solutions.
I find joy in helping others find hope, healing, and strength in the midst of their own challenges. Together, we can uncover, one step at a time, the strength that already lives within you.
