LMHC, 12 years of experience
New to Grow
Thank you for looking at my profile. As a licensed mental health therapist in Florida with 12 years of experience, I support individuals through various minor as well as complex emotional landscapes. I believe in a holistic, empathetic, and collaborative, partnership that honors each person's unique story and strengths. I am passionate about working with teens, young adults, men, women, military veterans, and the elderly. Be prepared to laugh a little in session (only when appropriate).
During the first session, I begin to build a friendly rapport with my clients while gathering information to assess my client's needs. I establish expectations of our therapeutic relationship, discuss the necessary boundaries, and help my clients feel comfortable to open up, using empathic listening.
I am great at empathizing, validating, empowering people. My therapy sessions center around a strength-based approach while creating a compassionate environment where clients feel comfortable to explore their challenges and cultivate personal growth. I provide thoughtful and personalized guidance that empowers my clients to develop healthier coping strategies, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.
I have extensive experience addressing depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, loss/grief, trauma, ADHD, ODD, conduct disorder, relationships, self-esteem / self-confidence concerns, communication and conflict resolution, attachment issues, life transitions, and personal growth.
My main therapeutic methods is CBT. I use this treatment method because it seeks to address mental health at its core by helping to identify and challenge unhealthy beliefs that are triggering the depression or anxiety.
I use this approach because it allows my clients to lead the session, focusing on their own experiences and feelings as the therapist provides a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
This is a collaborative, goal-oriented counseling approach that helps people resolve ambivalence and find the internal motivation to change their behavior. It involves listening with empathy and empowering individuals to explore their own arguments for change.
Helps individuals understand and change negative patterns in relationships by exploring their early attachment experiences with primary caregivers. It focuses on repairing emotional wounds from childhood to build more secure bonds, improve communication, and foster healthier emotional regulation in adulthood.
This approach recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and focuses on principles of safety, trustworthiness, collaboration, empowerment, and choice. It asks "What happened to you?" to understand and recognize trauma's effects and signs in clients. I integrate this with CBT practices to help individuals process traumatic memories, develop healthy coping skills, and prevent re-traumatization.
